Q1. What is your name and what is your job at Diamanti Per Tutti?

My name is Stephanie Wilms, and I am one of the three founders of Diamanti Per Tutti, where I am Creative Director and in charge of sales in Europe.

Q2. How would you describe yourself/your personality?

I think of myself as a positive person with a creative mind, a pragmatic and organised approach. I love to live by the "carpe diem" principle.

Q3. Could you tell us a little bit more about what your function entails on a day-to-day basis?

As part of my creative function, I develop new collections with my colleagues within the design team. This is quite a challenge as we launch on average 5x collections per year. I also look after the overall brand image of DPT. As head of sales in Europe, I mainly ensure that our direct stores in Antwerp run smoothly. I also manage key wholesale accounts (such as collaborations with Tomorrowland) and work with our sales agents to roll out Diamanti Per Tutti in the leading jewelry stores.

Q4. Has designing been a passion since your childhood?

As a young girl, I couldn’t stop drawing dresses and princesses.. I would say that design has always been a passion, but ratio determined my first career choice. It was only after having worked as a lawyer for 10x years that I had the courage to leave the comfort zone in order to do what I like most: creating and doing  "our (me and Edward’s) thing".

Q5. Where do you keep getting your inspiration from?

I get my everyday inspiration from day-to-day life. Not only here in Belgium, but also – and maybe most importantly – in the rest of the world. I have always been inspired by traveling and different cultures I encounter while doing so.

Q6. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing someone shine and be happy when wearing our jewelry. *laughs. And of course the fact that we are truly affordable, and that people not only spoil themselves, but also their family and friends with jewelry.

Q7. What is a tough lesson you learned while on it?

The job and work is never done. We must keep getting inspired, keep designing and creating, while constantly listen to our clients and their feedback. One can always do better and reach for that next level.

Q8. What motivates you to work hard? Is it the same for your life in general?

With true hard work, you can do and become whatever you want in life. Life never comes at you, but you have to look out and seize every opportunity you can. And while doing so - and maybe making mistakes along the way - you will arrive in time at where you are happy.  "Everyone can make their own happiness." - a life lesson I would like to teach to my three daughters.

Q9. What else are you passionate about in life?

I am a true family person. I love my family and especially my husband and three daughters. In regard to my bucket list: I hope to be able to take on many more inspiring journeys with my loved ones.
